If you like licorice, you have to try these adorable Licorice Pretzel Broomsticks for Halloween.
They make a fun treat for kids as well as adults.
They can be fiddly, especially if the rope wants to fan out in all directions, but they don’t have to be perfect to look like brooms.
Ingredients
- licorice rope
- pretzels (sticks)
- candy eyes
- edible glue
Instructions
1. Cut nine pieces of licorice rope of similar length (approximately 5 cm. long / 2 inches).
2. You’ll also need a slightly longer piece of licorice rope to tie around the others (mine was 12 cm / 5 inches).
3. Lay the longer piece of rope on a hard surface.
4. Place a pretzel stick and the nine pieces on top.
5. Wrap the long piece around it all.
6. Secure with a double knot.
7. Top with eyes (you can use edible glue to ensure they stick).
