Chocolate Strawberry Oreo Crabs Ingredients

Please be sure to scroll down to the recipe card below for the complete details!

Four bowls with labeled ingredients including dark chocolate squares, whole strawberries, candy eyes, and Oreo cookies.
  • Strawberries: Choose firm, pointy, and unbruised berries. Be sure to dry them off on a paper towel after cutting them in half, so the chocolate will stick.
  • Dark chocolate: I prefer a good-quality chocolate bar for the best results.
  • Candy eyes: I use the mini size. Find them in baking shops, large supermarkets, and online.
  • Oreos: Or any similar round cookies.
Four Oreo cookies topped with half strawberries, decorated with chocolate legs and candy eyes to resemble crabs, displayed on a gray textured surface.

Possible Variations

  • Strawberries: Or figs, kiwi, apple, or pear.
  • Dark chocolate: Milk or white chocolate.
  • Oreos: Rice cakes, biscuits, cookies, or crackers.

How to Store Leftovers

Transfer them to an airtight container and keep them in the refrigerator. Enjoy them within 1 day.

FAQs

Do I need candy eyes?

Not at all. Theyโ€™ll still look like crabs.

My chocolate is taking forever to set. What can I do?

Stick them in the fridge for 20 minutes or so, especially if itโ€™s warm where you are.

What do I do if I donโ€™t have parchment paper?

A silicone mat will work fine, too.
