This easy snack is sure to be a favorite among kids and adults, and theyโre a great snack to serve at any Halloween party. You might want to make a double batch because theyโll disappear so quickly.
To make them, cut the pizza dough (or ready-rolled puff pastry) into thin strips, then wrap them around the sausages to look like mummies.ย Bake in the oven until golden, and decorate them with edible eyes, ketchup (blood), and flaked almonds (teeth).
Recipe Tip
Feel free to make each one look slightly different. You can even use different types of sausage, cheese, BBQ sauce, or mustard.

Please be sure to scroll down to the recipe card below for the complete details!

- Pizza dough: Storebought and rectangular for easy shaping.
- Sausages: I use 8 precooked Frankfurters (pork sausages) for this recipe (these are organic and yes, they look a bit wrinkly, thatโs just how they come).
- Ketchup: To garnish.
- Candy eyes: Regular-sized, or swap for bloody-veined or mini candy eyes as you prefer.
Possible Variations
- Pizza dough: Puff pastry or crescent dough (please note the cooking times may vary slightly).
- Sausages: Any precooked sausages or hot dogs you like, beef, chicken, lamb, turkey, pork, etc.
- Ketchup: Chili sauce, salsa, sriracha, or similar.
- Other fillings: Instead of sausage try ham and cheese, feta, bacon, or shredded cooked beef or pork.
- Sweet version: Swap sausages for a piece of chocolate and dust with powdered sugar when the rolls cool down.

For glossy rolls, brush them with egg wash just before baking.
