Prep Time: 30 min.
Perfect for a girl’s birthday party or just a bit of fun, these summer dresses are sure to add an elegant touch to any fruity display.
Ingredients
- cantaloupe
- watermelon
- cucumber
- Galia melon
- mango
- white chocolate
- dress cookie cutters
- piping utensil / bag
- string
- parchment paper
Instructions
1. Slice the fruit so the pieces are somewhat equally thick.
2. Use the cutters to make the different dresses out of the various fruit and veg.
3. Melt the chocolate. You can either melt it in a bain marie, microwave, or melt it directly in a pot on low heat. Just be sure to stir constantly, otherwise, the chocolate may burn.
4. Place the chocolate in a piping utensil /bag and shape the hangers.
5. Allow to set on parchment paper.
6. Use string to make the clotheslines (you may need to secure it with tape).
7. Top with the hangers and arrange the dresses.
Notes
I used two different mangos with different tints of yellow, as well as two cantaloupes. You could use papaya, honeydew, dragonfruit, carrot or avocado. If you have leftover fruit, you can save all these odd-shaped bits in a freezer bag to use in your next smoothie, or you can chop them up and make a mini fruit salad.
The piping utensil and dresses cutters I use are linked in my Shop.
