Ingredients
- 1 roll pizza dough (280 grams)
- 4 sausages
- 1 egg (yolk only)
- a pinch of smoked paprika
- sea salt
- parchment paper
- a toothpick
- 24 candy eyes
- fresh parsley (to garnish)
Instructions
Makes 12.
1. Turn on your oven to 200°C (400°F).
2. Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into 12 equal-sized strips.
3. Divide the sausages into thirds.

5. Pinch the dough at the top of the sausage roll closed tightly.
6. Mix the egg yolk with a pinch of smoked paprika (save the egg white for an omelet or egg-fried rice).
7. Brush the sausage rolls with the smoked paprika egg wash and sprinkle with sea salt.
8. Bake the rolls in the hot oven for about 10 minutes (you want them golden brown).
9. Allow to cool slightly.
10. Stick a toothpick into the top of the sausage rolls and insert a sprig of parsley.
11. Attach candy eyes (with edible glue or cream cheese) or omit.
12. Serve with yellow mustard or any dip you prefer.
