Surprise your family and friends with this delightfully cheesy Snowman appetizer. Best of all, he doesn’t melt.
Ingredients
- 2 fresh mozzarella balls
- carrots
- olives
- cucumber
- baguette
- metal straw
- small round cookie cutter
- toothpick
Instructions
1. Dry off the mozzarella balls on a piece of kitchen towel.
2. Place one ball on top of the other and secure with a toothpick so it can stand upright.
3. Peel a 10 cm (4 inches) long piece of cucumber and slice it in half around the middle.
4. Stick the halves in between the mozzarella to make the scarf.
5. Cut a thin slice of cucumber for the base of the hat.
6. You’ll need a 2 cm thick (¾ inch) piece of cucumber to make the top of the hat. Use the round cookie cutter for the cutout. Secure the hat with a toothpick.
7. Peel and slice a carrot lengthwise.
8. Trim the slice into two equal-sized skis.
9. Place these underneath the snowman.
10. Cut a small rectangular piece of carrot for the nose.
11. Halve an olive and use the metal straw to cutout eyes and buttons.
12. Lastly, you’ll need a tiny strip of cucumber peel for the mouth.
13. Serve on a platter with fresh baguette or crackers.
