This is the most adorable edible Summer couple, and given they’re made using watermelon, dragonfruit and raspberries, they are certainly delicious too. The flip flops I made were about 15 cm. (6 inches) tall, but you can make mini versions too, if you prefer.
Ingredients
- watermelon
- dragonfruit
- raspberries
- candy eyes
- curved sprinkles
- star cookie cutter
Instructions
1. Slice the watermelon.
2. Cut off the rind.
3. Shape the first flip-flop by hand.
4. Once you are happy with the shape, place it face down onto another slice.
5. Trim along the edge so you have two equal-sized pieces.
6. Use the star cutter to make the pattern on the ‘footbed'.
7. Cut four long strips of dragonfruit to make the y-shaped straps.
8. Top with a raspberry, candy eyes and a sprinkle for the smile.
