Give your watermelon slices a little makeover and turn them into these beautiful flower slices. You can leave them as is and serve them with melted dark chocolate and whipped cream for a fancy dessert. Or you can quarter them and serve them on a platter.

What you need


1. Slice the top part of the watermelon.

2. Make a radius cut into the watermelon at a 45º angle (from the center to the outer peel).

3. Now slice straight down into the angled cut - also from the center outwards. It will make a v-shape trimming.

4. Continue this way, working around the center.

5. Once you have been all the way around, slice off the part you just cut to reveal the beautiful flower slices.
