Prep Time: 30 min.

Whipped butter reminds me of a fine dining experience, but it’s certainly something you can make yourself. This charming butter snowman is deliciously festive and best served with toasted slices of sourdough or crostini.

1. Whip the butter for 3-4 minutes (I used a hand mixer).

2. Remove the water and pat dry with a kitchen towel.

3. Add yogurt or sour cream and sea salt to taste and whip again until combined.

4. Shape into two balls, one larger than the other.

5. Top with basil for the hat, scarf and feet.

6. Cut a piece of carrot for the nose.

7. Top with peppercorns.

This Butter Snowman is best served right away for the ideal ‘whipped’ consistency. However, if you are making this ahead of time, be sure to store it in the fridge and take it out at least half an hour before serving.
