Stack your tomatoes to create the most elegant tulip appetizers, which you can serve in one big bouquet. All you need is cucumber, grape tomatoes and some canapé sticks to hold everything together. To make these into a tricolore, just fill the tulips with bocconcini. You can even make a tomato tulip salad and drizzle with balsamic glaze, olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt. They are perfect for Christmas, but you can serve these all year around.

1. Make two intersecting cuts ¾ of the way down from the top of a tomato.

2. Use a spoon to scrape the seeds out.

3. Repeat with another tomato and place this one inside the other. Then, place a whole grape tomato inside the top one.

4. Use the peeler to slice the cucumber.

5. Secure the peel with the canape stick and wrap it around.

6. Arrange as a bouquet on a platter and serve.
