Think cream cheese and tomato on rye, but make it cute with tomatoes shaped like cherries. They are perfect to serve as appetizers for your favorite people.
Ingredients
- grape tomatoes
- cream cheese
- rye bread
- basil stems
- basil leaves
- heart-shaped cookie cutter
Instructions
1. Use the heart cutter to shape the bread.
2. Top the bread with cream cheese.
3. Halve the grape tomatoes at a slant.
4. Slice each half through the middle.
5. Turn the two sets of halves around and match them together to resemble hearts.
6. Place the hearts on the broadest part of the bread.
7. Use basil stems for the cherry stems and top with a basil leaf.
8. Sprinkle some sea salt on top, and enjoy.
