These Chocolate and Pomegranate Treats make a fun and healthy snack.
All you need is a pomegranate, chocolate, and candy eyes, and you've got the cutest, easy-to-make mini pomegranate chocolate bark.
Serve as a tasty afternoon treat or top onto fruit and dessert platters.
You can even use ice lolly sticks and shape the chocolate on top. Freeze for a delicious summer dessert idea.
These chocolate pomegranate bites can also be made in advance. Store them in the fridge until you are ready to serve.
Ingredients
- 1 pomegranate
- 100 grams white chocolate (3.5 oz)
- 50 grams dark chocolate (1.75 oz)
- candy eyes
- piping utensil / bag
- parchment paper
Instructions
Makes 6.
1. Deseed the pomegranate.
2. Melt the white chocolate.
3. Spoon a large dollop of melted chocolate onto parchment paper or use a piping utenstil / bag.
4. Spread the chocolate with a toothpick so the disc is around 7cm wide (3 inches).
5. Place pomegranate seeds in 4 or 5 rows, leaving space in the center.
6. Pipe a line of white chocolate in the center.
7. Allow the white chocolate to set.
8. Melt the dark chocolate.
9. Place the melted dark chocolate in a piping utensil / bag.
10. Pipe the top spiky section of the fruit and the border with dark chocolate.
11. If you want to add the eyes, add a small blob of dark chocolate to the back of the candy eyes and stick them on top of the pomegranate arils.
12. Allow to set.
13. Serve.
