An Autumnal take on a fruit and vegetable platter, with these kiwi acorns and carrot fallen leaves. They are perfect for Thanksgiving or as an after-school snack board. You can top them with candy eyes or omit them.

Instructions

Kiwi acorn instructions:

1. To make the kiwi acorns start by halving the kiwi lengthwise.

2. Score the top of the kiwi and peel the kiwi below this point.

3. Dry the kiwi halves with a kitchen towel.

4. Top with candy eyes and a curved sprinkle for the mouth.

Carrot leaves instructions:

1. To make the carrot leaves, start by peeling the carrots.

2. Halve them lengthwise, if they are particularly long.

3. Cut into slices (about 0.5 cm. thick / 0.2 inches)

4. Use the leaf cutters to shape the leaves.

5. Make a small indent down the middle of the leaf.

6. Top with candy eyes.

7. Arrange on a platter and serve.

Notes

I've linked the candy eyes I use and a similar leaf cookie cutter in my Shop.
