I love to draw inspiration from different art forms and find paper quilling so intricate and fun. That was the background for this idea to make these cucumber-quilled pears.
Ingredients
- cucumber
- candy eyes
- vegetable peeler
- petal-shaped cookie cutter
Instructions
1. Cut the peel off a cucumber using a vegetable peeler.
2. Arrange the peel frame into the shape of a pear.
3. Continue peeling the cucumber and arranging these pieces inside the frame.
4. For the center, roll a long strip of cucumber tightly and place it in the middle.
5. Make the leaf using cucumber and the petal-shaped cutter.
6. Use cucumber or actual pear stalks for the stalk.
7. Top with candy eyes and the leaf.
