Donkeys are the best! I love how stoic and hardworking they are, so obviously, I needed to recreate them in avocado form.
Ingredients
- avocados
- cheddar
- chia seeds
- candy eyes
- small round cookie cutter
- carrot cookie cutter
- small petal cookie cutter
Instructions
1. Cut the avocado in half.
2. Slice the bottom side of both halves, so the avocado can lie flat. These pieces will be used for the hooves, mouth, tail and ears.
3. Use the circle cookie cutter to trim hooves and mouth.
4. Make a small v-shaped cut in the hooves.
5. Add two small chia seeds for the nostrils at the top of the mouth.
6. Cut four small rectangles out of cheddar for each tooth.
7. Use the carrot-shaped cookie cutter to make the ears and mane. If you don’t have one, you can cut this by hand. Attach the ears by placing them on top of the ends of toothpicks.
8. To make the tail, cut two parallel lines 3 mm apart and 2-3 cm (1 inch) long.
9. Make the end of the tail by using the small petal cookie cutter.
10. Assemble the donkey and top it with candy eyes.
