If you want a fun and festive food art idea to make for your kids, you have to try these adorable strawberries. You only need a few simple ingredients, and you can be well on your way to wishing your family a Meowy Christmas in the best and cutest way.
Ingredients
- strawberries
- candy eyes
- white string (or noodles)
- a round chocolate sprinkle
- a toothpick
- edible glue
- red & white twine
Instructions
1. Cut the top off a large strawberry at a slight downward angle. This strawberry will be the cat’s body.
2. Insert a toothpick in the middle where you just cut.
3. Place a smaller strawberry (leafy part down) onto the toothpick for the head.
4. Make triangular ears out of another strawberry.
5. Use small toothpick ends to secure the ears to the top of the head.
6. Stick on the eyes and round sprinkle for the nose with some edible glue.
7. Cut a few small pieces of string for the whiskers and stick them onto the face.
8. Lastly, attach the red and white twine for the tail with edible glue.
Notes
I left the edible leaves on the strawberry to make it look like the cats are wearing a scarf. You can remove them if you prefer.
Be sure to remove the toothpicks before eating.
