Let’s make these adorable Rice Cake Chocolate Baubles which make a wonderful festive treat.
All you need is white chocolate and a few toppings, and you've got polar bears, Rudolphs, Christmas puddings, penguins, snowflakes, Christmas lights, gifts, and some wonderfully decorative baubles.
They are so easy and a fun activity to do with the kids.
Ingredients
- mini chocolate rice cakes
- white chocolate
- silver round sprinkles
- tiny round silver sprinkles
- candy eyes
- m&ms
- chocolate pretzels
- piping utensil / bag
Instructions
1. Melt the white chocolate.
2. Place the chocolate in a piping utensil / bag.
Instructions for the Polar Bear:
1. Pipe white chocolate on the top surface of a rice cake.
2. Top with candy eyes, halved brown m&ms for the ears and a brown m&m for the nose.
3. Dot some chocolate on a silver sprinkle and place it at the top to make the bauble cap.
Instructions for Rudolph:
1. Pipe small blobs of white chocolate for the eyes, nose and antlers.
2. Top with candy eyes, a red m&m for the nose and chocolate pretzels for the ears.
3. Stick on a silver sprinkle bauble cap.
Instructions for the Christmas Pudding:
1. Pipe the icing using white chocolate.
2. Top with halved red m&ms for the redcurrants, green m&ms for the holly and a round silver sprinkle for the bauble cap.
Instructions for the penguin:
1. Make the penguin white belly using white chocolate.
2. Add small blobs of chocolate to stick on the eyes.
3. Use a halved orange m&m for the beak and halved yellow m&ms for the feet.
4. Stick a round silver sprinkle on top for the bauble cap.
Instructions for the snowflake:
1. Pipe four intersecting lines on top of the rice cake using white chocolate.
2. Between each line, draw halved lines.
3. V-shape each of the longer ends.
4. Top with silver sprinkles and a bauble cap.
Instructions for the Christmas Lights:
1. Draw two wiggly lines with chocolate to resemble lights.
2. Top with halved m&ms and a silver bauble cap.
Instructions for the gift:
1. Pipe a white chocolate ribbon (cross) on top of the rice cake.
2. Once the ribbon has set, pipe on the bow detail.
3. Add a silver bauble cap.
Instructions for the decorative baubles:
1. Pipe white chocolate in lines or u-shapes across the rice cake.
2. Make a white chocolate outline and top with a silver sprinkle to make the bauble cap.
