Prep Time: 30 min.
Kiwi berries are the cutest little fruit. They are perfect for adding to platters or making into adorable little characters like these crabs.
Ingredients
- kiwi berries
- mini candy eyes
- pink candy melts
- biscuits
- piping utensil / bag
Instructions
1. Halve the kiwi berries.
2. Melt the candy melts.
3. Place the melted chocolate in a piping utensil / bag.
4. Pipe small, flat circles for the legs.
5. Now, pipe the ‘claws'. Once the chocolate has set, carefully cut a v-shape to shape the claws.
6. Boil some water and insert a metal spoon.
7. Once the spoon is hot, remove it from the boiling water.
8. Place one side of the chocolate legs against the warm spoon and then stick it on the berry when the chocolate starts to melt.
9. Hold the chocolate leg in place for a few seconds until the chocolate has set.
10. Continue with the remaining legs and do the same for the claws. If the claw is too heavy, you can make a small incision in the berry and stick the claw in.
11. Top with mini candy eyes.
12. Crumble some biscuit for the sand (I used a Digestive).
