Ingredients
- cantaloupe
- mango
- white chocolate discs
- dark chocolate
- melon baller
- candy eyes
- piping utensil / bag
- parchment paper
Instructions
Beehive instructions:
1. Use a peeler or knife to trim the rind off the melon. Try to ensure the shape is rounded.
2. Flatten one side and stand it up.
3. Melt the dark chocolate.
4. Once the chocolate has cooled down slightly, add it to a piping utensil or bag.
5. Pipe the ‘door’ onto the baking parchment. Allow to set.
6. Dry the melon with a kitchen towel.
7. Pipe the hive sections with dark chocolate. Place the set door onto the melted sections. You may need to hold it in place for a few seconds until it stays on.
Mango bees instructions:
1. Use a melon baller to scoop out the mango for the bees.
2. Dry the mango balls with a kitchen towel.
3. Pipe melted dark chocolate stripes directly onto the mango balls.
4. Top with white chocolate disc wings whilst the chocolate is still melted.
6. Allow to set.
7. Place the bees on top of the hive (you may need to secure them with toothpicks).
8. Add candy eyes.
Notes
Do ensure to remove the toothpicks prior to eating.
