Transform your berries into these irresistible (and slightly terrifying) Halloween Strawberries. They’re easy to make (even the kids can help) and the perfect snack during the spooky season.

With their dark chocolate mouths, sharp teeth, and bulging eyes, these scary monsters make a fun addition to your Halloween parties. Serve them on a platter with some spider pretzels and grape ghosts, stick them in a lunchbox, or enjoy them with a glass of your favorite bubbly.
Recipe Tip
For a fun touch, add sour candy discs as tongues.
Halloween Strawberries Ingredients
Please be sure to scroll down to the recipe card below for the complete details!
- Strawberries: Choose firm, sweet, and slightly pointy berries for the best results.
- Dark chocolate: I use chocolate with 55% cocoa solids, but use any you like.
- Candy eyes: You can find these at large supermarkets and bake shops.
- Flaked almonds: For the teeth. Trim the pieces into similar sized shards.
How to Make Halloween Strawberries
- Prepare the berries: Choose pointy berries and trim off the leaves in a straight cut.
- Melt the chocolate and spoon the chocolate mouths onto the strawberries.
- Shape the teeth: Cut the flaked almonds into shards and stick them onto the chocolate.
- Final details: Stick on the candy eyes.

Possible Variations
- Strawberries: Swap for figs, kiwi, peeled clementines, apricots, plums, nectarines, kiwi berries, blackberries, or halved apples.
- Dark chocolate: Try milk chocolate.
- Candy eyes: Round sprinkles, mini marshmallows, or omit.
- Flaked almonds: Or pine nuts.
How to Store Leftovers
Keep leftover strawberries in an airtight container in the fridge. Enjoy them on the same day.
