Recipe Tip

Chocolate ball sprinkles are available on Amazon, but Godiva and Valrhona make similar ‘pearls’. If all else fails, you can even use chocolate chips!

How to Make Chocolate Covered Strawberry Hearts

  1. Prepare the strawberries: Halve the berries, cut out the hearts with the cutter, and dry the hearts on a paper towel.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and pour it into a piping tool or bag. Pipe dark chocolate hearts on parchment paper that are slightly larger than the berry hearts.
  3. Top the chocolate hearts with the strawberry hearts and press down so the chocolate spreads out.
  4. Arrange chocolate ball sprinkles in the chocolate surrounding the strawberry. Allow to set.

Possible Variations

  • Dark chocolate: Milk, white, or flavored chocolates would all be delicious.
  • Strawberries: Swap for cut out watermelon, cantaloupe, kiwi, dragonfruit, apples, pears, or mango.
  • Chocolate ball sprinkles: Try red currants, chocolate chips, chopped nuts, heart-shaped sprinkles, or other sprinkles.
