TIP: If you don't have a melon baller, you can just cut similar-sized cubes of watermelon, cucumber, and feta and stick them on a toothpick with fresh basil or mint to make watermelon skewers.
Ingredients
- 18 scoops of watermelon (use a melon baller)
- 150 grams feta
- 1 cucumber
- 9 fresh basil (or mint) leaves
- melon baller
Instructions
Makes 9.
1. Slice the cucumber at an angle to get as wide pieces as possible.
2. Use the melon baller to scoop out the watermelon.
3. Cut the feta into pieces similar to the cucumber slices.
4. Place the feta slices on top of the cucumber.
5. Top with basil stems (or thin pieces of cucumber skin for the cherry stems), the two watermelon 'cherries', and finally, the fresh basil leaf (or mint leaf).
6. Serve the appetizers as they are, or drizzle them with balsamic glaze or hot honey.
