Turn plain chocolate bars into mummies for a fun and spooky Halloween treat!
All you need is a piping bag and melted white chocolate, and in no time, you’ll have a delicious Halloween snack!
To make these mummy bars, I used flat chocolate slices we put on bread in Denmark, called “pålægschokolade”. But you can also decorate the flat side of any regular chocolate bar.
Top with candy eyes (you can use various sizes), blood (use pomegranate seeds or strawberry jam), and scary teeth (flaked almonds).
TIP: You can use granola bars, cookies, biscuits, or rice krispie treats.
Ingredients
- 100 grams white chocolate
- 8 chocolate bars
- 16 candy eyes
- piping utensil / bag
- parchment paper
Instructions
Makes 8.
1. Melt the white chocolate.
2. Pour the chocolate into a small bowl.
3. Dip the top and bottom of the bars into the melted chocolate.
4. Lay them on parchment paper to set.
5. Place the remaining white chocolate into a piping utensil / bag.
6. Add a blob of white chocolate onto the candy eyes and stick them onto the chocolate bar.
7. Pipe on the bandages. I did this twice, allowing the first bandages to set and adding more to get the layered effect.
8. Allow to set.
9. Trim the edges if necessary and serve.
