These Chocolate Marzipan Presents are a delicious treat for Christmas.
Serve them as part of a dessert platter or as elegant after-dinner petit fours.
You can make the reversed version if you prefer dark chocolate to white, or use any color of chocolate you like.
Ingredients
- 100 grams marzipan
- 100 grams white chocolate
- 50 grams dark chocolate
- piping utensil / bag
- parchment paper
- medium square cookie cutter
Instructions
Makes 8.
1. Roll out the marzipan so it's about 1cm / 0.4 inch thick.
2. Use the cutter to make the marzipan square-shaped.
3. Melt the white chocolate.
4. Place the melted white chocolate into a little bowl.
5. Lower the marzipan squares into the white chocolate with a fork.
6. Tap to remove any excess, and place on parchment paper to set.
7. Melt the dark chocolate.
8. Place the dark chocolate in a piping utensil /bag.
9. Pipe little bows on parchment paper.
10. Allow to set.
11. Add the ribbon details to the white chocolate squares and top with the set bows.
