A bowl of strawberries, a glass dish of dark chocolate squares, and a small dish of fresh basil leaves are arranged on a gray surface.
  • Strawberries: Make sure they are firm and unbruised for the best result.
  • Dark chocolate: I prefer to use chocolate with a 55-70% cocoa solids, but use what you like.
  • Fresh basil: For the leaves. Swap for mint.

FAQs

My chocolate isnโ€™t sticking to the strawberries. What am I doing wrong?

Be sure to dry the cut side of the fruit on a paper towel, that will help.

Can I freeze these?

Yes. They are delicious straight out of the freezer (theyโ€™ll keep for 3 months).

How else can I serve the skewers?

Stick them into a watermelon or pineapple. They make a wonderful fruit centerpiece.
