This delightful Winter Fruit Salad will put a smile on anyone’s face. It’s refreshing and beautiful and loaded with all the best fruits the colder months can offer.

With bite-sized pieces of pear, apple, mandarin, orange, pomegranate, blueberries, and kiwi, this recipe is naturally sweet and so tasty! Top it with my three-ingredient vanilla cream or serve it with whipped cream or ice cream for the ultimate indulgence!

With no baking involved, it’s an easy dessert for parties and holiday gatherings. It also pairs well with your morning pancakes or smoothie bowls, or enjoy it on its own as a snack.

Winter Fruit Salad Ingredients
Please be sure to scroll down to the recipe card below for the complete details!
- Oranges: Sweet Naval oranges or what you can find. You’ll need two oranges in the salad, and one to outline and garnish.
- Mandarins and pears: Look for firm, ripe fruits.
- Lime: Lime juice will help prevent apples and pears from browning and add freshness to the vanilla cream.
- Apples: Any sweet apples will work. I like to use Gala, Pink Lady, or Red Delicious.
- Pomegranate, kiwi, and blueberries: Choose firm fruits without discoloration or blemishes.
- Sour cream, maple syrup, and vanilla paste: Mix to make the vanilla cream.

How to Make a Winter Fruit Salad
- Prepare the ingredients: Deseed the pomegranate, chop the apples, pears, mandarins, oranges, and kiwi. Squeeze lime juice on top of the apples and pears.
- Make the dip: Mix the sour cream, maple syrup, lime juice, and vanilla paste.
- Arrange the fruit salad.
Possible Variations
- Fruit: Vary the fresh fruits according to what you have and what is available. Try pineapple, dragonfruit, strawberries, grapes, mango, etc.
- Dressing: Although the fruit salad will naturally develop it’s own juices over time, you can also add a few tablespoons of pineapple, apple, or orange juice.
- Toppings: Poppy seeds or chocolate chips would be tasty additions.
- Herbs: Try chopped fresh mint, lemon balm, or basil.
- Cream: Alternatives are whipped cream, ice cream, or cold chocolate sauce.
