All you need is a few strawberries, your favorite chocolate (milk, dark, or white), an oval-shaped cookie cutter, and chocolate ball sprinkles.

Recipe Tip

Chocolate ball sprinkles are available on Amazon.

Serve these adorable bunnies as an afternoon treat, add them to a festive dessert platter, or top them onto cakes and desserts.

A hand holds a chocolate Strawberry Bunnies treat topped with a fresh strawberry, while similar bunny-shaped delights are arranged on a round white plate.

If you prefer, you can omit the candy eyes. You can also swap strawberry for apple, watermelon, pear, mango, and even dragonfruit pieces (just be sure to dry off the fruit with a paper towel so the chocolate will stick).

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 100 grams dark chocolate
  • 4 strawberries
  • 14 candy eyes
  • 7 sprinkles, heart-shaped
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate ball, sprinkles

Instructions

  • Melt the dark chocolate.
  • Add the melted chocolate to a piping utensil or bag.
  • Halve the strawberries lengthwise (from the leaves to the point).
  • Use the oval-shaped cutter to shape the bunny faces.
  • Dry the fruit on a paper towel.
  • Pipe an oval shape using chocolate on parchment paper and two ears. Keep the center free from chocolate.
  • Place the strawberry ovals on top of the chocolate and press down. You want the chocolate to spread out underneath.
  • Arrange the chocolate balls along the edge of the chocolate bunny.
  • Use melted chocolate to stick on the candy eyes and the heart-shaped sprinkle for the nose.
  • Allow to set.
  • Serve.
