Prep Time: 20 min.

These Swirl Christmas Trees with dark chocolate and candy are so fun to make with kids or grandkids over the holidays. Get your hands on star-shaped candies and mini Smarties, and you are well on your way to creating these tasty no-bake treats, which make a perfect addition to any dessert board. They are also ideal to top onto cakes or desserts and make a thoughtful homemade gift.

Ingredients

  • mini Smarties
  • dark chocolate
  • chocolate sticks (or pretzels)
  • star candies
  • piping utensil / bag
  • parchment paper

Instructions

1. Melt the dark chocolate.

2. Pour the chocolate into a piping utensil / bag.

3. Place the chocolate stick (or pretzel stick) onto parchment paper.

4. Swirl melted chocolate from the top of the stick to each side, making a bigger and bigger curve the further down the stick you go. Stop once you have gotten ⅞ of the way, as you still want the tree to have a trunk.

5. Top with a star-shaped candy and mini chocolate button ‘lights.’

6. Allow to set.

The piping utensil I use is linked in my Shop.
