A simple Caprese salad platter is the perfect recipe for Easter entertaining—whether you're celebrating low-key or have big plans with friends and family. Whatever the occasion, everyone will love this adorable and festive take on a classic.

You only need a few ingredients: ripe cherry tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, and creamy mozzarella. Arrange the cheese to look like the Easter Bunny, and your tasty Caprese will almost be too cute to eat.

Serve this delightful salad on a paddle-shaped chopping board or your favorite oval serving platter. Enjoy with French bread or bruschetta and top with sea salt, ground black pepper, a splash of extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic glaze for an epic savory Easter Bunny platter. Hoppy Easter!

What you need

1. Slice the mozzarella cheese.

2. Cut out two mozzarella ears with the medium petal-shaped cutter.

3. Shape the remaining slices into round discs with the medium round cutter.

4. Cut out the pink belly with the round cutter and ham.

5. Make the inside of the ears using ham and the small petal-shaped cutter.

6. Arrange all the mozzarella discs onto a platter (you will need 8 for the body and 6 for the face).

7. Top with the ham details.

8. Halve a kalamata olive and shape the eyes with a metal straw.

9. Trim the back of the olive eyes so they are flat.

10. Shape the nose and nostrils.

11. Top these, as well as the eyes, onto the bunny.

12. Scatter fresh basil leaves below the bunny.

13. Arrange the cherry tomatoes (I used red, orange, and yellow).

14. Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.

15. Serve.
