❤️ Why You’ll Love a Cantaloupe Smoothie

  • Vibrant, fresh, and summery.
  • Simple ingredients.
  • 5-minute breakfast or snack.
  • Naturally sweetened with fruit and maple syrup.

Cantaloupe Smoothie Ingredients

Please be sure to scroll down to the recipe card below for the complete details!

  • Greek yogurt: I use the 10% fat for the best taste and texture, but use any you prefer.
  • Frozen banana: Slice the banana into chunks before freezing for easy blending.
  • Cantaloupe: Make sure to choose a firm, heavy melon with a sweet smell at the end.
  • Lime: Adds brightness.
  • Maple syrup: For a touch of sweetness.
  • Fresh mint: For freshness.

How to Make a Cantaloupe Smoothie

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Cube the cantaloupe melon, and measure out the remaining ingredients.
  2. Blend: Add the ingredients to a high-speed blender and puree until creamy.
  3. Pour into glasses and serve.

Tips for Success

  • Make sure to use frozen banana so the drink is cold. If you only have fresh banana, add a few ice cubes.
  • Add the cantaloupe to the blender before the frozen banana, so the blender won’t have to work as hard.
  • Adjust the lime juice and maple syrup to taste.

Possible Variations

  • Cantaloupe: You can freeze the cubes before blending for a slushier drink. Alternatively, use watermelon, honeydew, or Gala melon.
  • Banana: Swap for mango or omit and add more melon.
  • Greek yogurt: Try regular yogurt, kefir, or any milk you like (even plant-based milk), or use apple, pineapple, or orange juice.
  • Lime: Swap for lemon juice.
  • Maple syrup: Or a touch of honey.
  • Add-ins: Vanilla paste, oats, cinnamon, citrus zest, flax seeds, nut butter, or ginger.

How to Store Leftovers

This smoothie is best enjoyed fresh, but you can cover it and store it in the fridge for about 6-8 hours. Be sure to stir it first for the best taste.
