These avocado and hummus tortilla bites are surprisingly easy to make. You can replace hummus with pesto, cream cheese or even whipped feta. Serve them as little starters or hors d’oeuvres at your next dinner party.

Instructions

1. Start with making the tortilla cutouts using the flower cutter.

2. Brush the tortilla pieces with olive oil and broil in a hot oven for 2-3 minutes.

3. Allow to cool.

4. Halve and peel the avocado.

5. Lay the flat side down and slice it lengthwise. Ideally, you want slices that are 2-3 mm (around 1/16th inch).

6. Flatten the avocado with your palm and fan all the slices in the same direction.

7. Use the flower cutter to trim the fanned avocados.

8. Top the tortilla flowers with hummus and the fanned avocado.

9. Sprinkle with chili flakes.
