Made with kiwi, grapes, chocolate buttons, and a few sprinkles, these adorable fruit bunnies come together in minutes and are almost too cute to eat!

I always try to make holidays feel a little extra special with festive treats like spooky treats for Halloween and strawberry chocolate hearts for Valentine’s Day. So, of course, when Easter rolls around, bunny-themed snacks are a must, and these were an instant hit with my kids.

Quick to prepare and a fun way to add fresh fruit to an otherwise candy-filled day, these little bites make the perfect addition to any Easter fruit tray. I love serving them alongside my cheese skewers and fruit carrots for a fun spread, but they’re just as great tucked into a lunchbox for a festive, nutritious treat!

Recipe Tip

I don’t peel the kiwis (the skin is edible), but if your kids aren’t fond of the fuzzy texture, be sure to remove it before halving the fruit.

Easter Bunny Fruit Ingredients

  • Kiwi: Look for firm kiwis. Slice them widthwise. You may need to top and tail the ends so the halves can lie flat.
  • Grapes: Use oblong grapes for the best results. Cut them in half lengthwise for the ears and widthwise for the feet.
  • Extras: You’ll need candy eyes for the eyes, chocolate buttons for the nose, and sprinkles for the feet.

How to Make Easter Bunny Fruit

  1. Prepare the fruit: Halve the kiwi and the grapes.
  2. Assemble the bunny: Secure the grape halve ears to the kiwi with toothpick ends. Slice the grapes for the feet.
  3. Final details: Top with candy eyes, sprinkle feet, and chocolate button noses.

Possible Variations

  • Body: Swap for strawberries, blackberries, or figs.
  • Ears: Use purple grapes or melted white or dark chocolate.
  • Feet: Try halved blueberries instead.

How to Store Leftovers

Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and enjoy within 1 day.

FAQs

I prefer not to use toothpicks. What can I do?

Place the kiwi’s cut side downwards, and use melted chocolate to attach the grape ears. Allow to set.

How should I serve the bunnies?

They make a great afternoon snack as they are, or add them to your festive platters.

I have leftovers. What can I use them for?

Remove the toppings (and toothpicks) and freeze the fruit to use in your next smoothie.
