These tasty Smoked Salmon Pinwheels with cream cheese, cucumber, and fresh dill are the perfect go-to appetizer. Use tortilla strips to make cute ribbons for an easy and elegant presentation (not to mention mess-free).

Pinwheels are also great for an afternoon snack, to enjoy at a family picnic, or summer BBQ. This wrap recipe can be adjusted in various ways, so feel free to swap out the ingredients and use any type of tortilla or toppings you prefer. The options are endless.

What you need

1. Slice a tortilla into 2.5 cm/ 1-inch strips.

2. Remove the side pieces.

3. Make a small cut at opposite sides at the strips' top third and bottom third sections.

4. Overlap the two ends, so they interlock and make a ribbon.

5. Spread cream cheese on another tortilla (you can also use a dill cream cheese).

6. Cut the tortilla into 2.5cm / 1-inch strips.

7. Top with trimmed smoked salmon and cucumber strips.

8. Sprinkle with sea salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

9. Roll the pinwheels tightly.

10. Place the pinwheels inside the tortilla strip ribbons.

11. Top with a bit of fresh dill.

12. Serve.
