Prep Time: 60 min.

For a playful take on the classic avocado toast, try this version with avocado sardines. I promise it won't taste like fish and will get everyone talking. If you want to save time - leave out the seaweed.

Instructions

1. Slice the avocado thinly lengthwise (my slices were about 3 mm thick - 0.1 inches), cutting around the pit.

2. Use the fish cookie cutter to make the avocado sardines.

3. Cut thin and long strips of seaweed to trim the sardines with.

4. Spread cream cheese on top of the toast.

5. Carefully arrange the avocado sardines on top.

6. Drizzle with lemon and sprinkle with sea salt.

7. Top with candy eyes. You can also make the eyes with seaweed or black sesame seeds.

8. Serve.

Notes

You can make a quick guacamole with any leftover bits of avocado. Just smash the fruit, add a squeeze of lemon, sprinkle of sea salt and pepper.
