Dragonfruit is one of my favorite fruits to use, given its vibrant pink exterior and that spotty dalmatian interior for contrast. This particular dragonfruit looked like a parrot as soon as I opened it. I just had to add a few details.

Ingredients 

  • 1 dragonfruit
  • 1 slice mango
  • 4 candy eyes
  • 4 sesame seeds

Instructions 

  • Halve the dragonfruit. You may need to slice a piece of the back off so that the dragonfruit halves will lay flat.
  • Slice a thin piece of mango.
  • Use the leaf cutter to trim the head feathers and tail.
  • Shape the beak and feet.
  • Assemble the bird and top it with candy eyes and sesame seeds for nostrils.
