Dragonfruit is one of my favorite fruits to use, given its vibrant pink exterior and that spotty dalmatian interior for contrast. This particular dragonfruit looked like a parrot as soon as I opened it. I just had to add a few details.

1. Halve the dragonfruit. You may need to slice a piece of the back off so that the dragonfruit halves will lay flat.

2. Slice a thin piece of mango.

3. Use the leaf-shaped cookie cutter to cut the head feathers and tail.

4. Shape the beak and feet.

5. Assemble the bird and top it with candy eyes and sesame seeds for nostrils.
