Every October, I go a little crazy in the kitchen with festive Halloween recipes like my Halloween watermelon platterkiwi Frankenstein platter, and puff pastry spider web. However, I don’t always have tons of time to spend in the kitchen.

Serving Suggestion

The mummies make a great addition to your Halloween party snack boards. Be sure to decorate with plastic spiders, too.

So, when I need a festive option that’s quick and easy to make, these cute Halloween treats are the recipe I turn to. A no-cook option, they’re perfectly sweet, a blast to make with the kids, and the perfect prep-ahead dessert for get-togethers and all your Halloween celebrations.

Cute Halloween Treat Ingredients

  • Chocolate bars: A rectangular shape will work best here.
  • White chocolate: Use a good quality chocolate. Keep an eye on it and melt it low and slow, so it doesn’t burn.
  • Candy eyes: Available at larger supermarkets. Use plain ones or the red-veined candy eyes or mix n’match.

How to Make Halloween Treats

  1. Dip the top and bottom of a chocolate bar into a bowl of melted white chocolate.
  2. Place the chocolate bar on parchment paper.
  3. Add candy eyes.
  4. Pipe the white chocolate mummy bandages.

Tips for Success

  • Stick your chocolate bars in the fridge so they are cold. Then, the chocolate will set quickly, allowing for that layered bandage look.
  • Use a piping bag or piping tool for the best results.

Possible Variations

  • White chocolate: Swap for dark chocolate or any other colored chocolate you prefer.
  • Chocolate bars: Try granola bars, cookies, biscuits, or Rice Krispies treats.
  • Candy eyes: Round sprinkles or sesame seeds can work, too.
  • Want them scarier? Add blood details using strawberry jam, sprinkles, or red chocolate, and use flaked almonds for fangs.
  • Presentation: Top the mummies onto cakes and cupcakes for the perfect treat.

How to Store Leftovers

Keep them in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge if you think the chocolate will melt.

Instructions

  • Melt the white chocolate.
  • Pour the chocolate into a small bowl.
  • Dip the top and bottom of the chocolate bars into the melted white chocolate.
  • Stick two candy eyes onto the top section of white chocolate.
  • Lay the bars on parchment paper to set.
  • Place the remaining white chocolate into a piping utensil or bag.
