Your friends and family will be thrilled with this colorful and delicious spooky Halloween salad featuring tomato slices, cucumber skulls, and mozzarella cheese ghosts!

Tomato, cucumber, and mozzarella are a classic pairing, but you can so easily turn this healthy side dish into a fun and spooky salad everyone will love.

Shape the mozzarella slices with a ghost cookie cutter and a mini melon baller. Trim cucumber skulls by hand and assemble them with the tomato slices.

Season the salad lightly with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and use balsamic glaze to decorate the ghosts.

This spooky Halloween salad is sure to be a showstopper whether you are planning a family dinner or throwing a Halloween party.

TIP: Feel free to add other ingredients to the bottom of the salad.

Ingredients

Instructions

1. Cut the tomato and arrange on a platter. Top with a sprinkle of salt.

2. Slice the mozzarella and use the mini melon baller to cut out eyes and a mouth.

3. Trim the wavy bottom of the ghosts. I used a Pac-Man cookie cutter, but you can also zig-zag this part with a knife.

4. Slice the cucumber.

5. Make a symmetrical indent for the jaw.

6. Use the metal straw to shape the holes for the eyes.

7. To make the teeth, cut two small v-shapes in the jaw.

8. Make a few turns with a toothpick or lolly stick to make the nose.

9. Top the tomatoes with the mozzarella ghosts and cucumber skulls.

10. Fill the ghosts’ scooped eyes and mouths with balsamic glaze.

11. Drizzle the salad with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and pepper.

12. Serve.
