You can’t go wrong with melon, mozzarella and chorizo. These appetizers are sweet, spicy and the perfect little bite. I’ve included a few variations you can make.
Ingredients
- 9 bocconcini
- 11 slices of chorizo
- 1 cantaloupe
- 20 fresh basil leaves
- melon baller
- toothpicks
Instructions
Makes 20.
1. Halve the bocconcini.
2. Use the melon baller to make cantaloupe balls.
3. Fold over the round chorizo slices.
4. Place the melon or mozzarella inside the folded chorizo and wrap it around.
5. Secure it with a toothpick.
6. Insert a basil leaf.
Notes
As a variation, assemble the bocconcini and melon halves with a basil leaf on top. Secure with a toothpick.
