Ingredients for Halloween Fries

Please be sure to scroll down to the recipe card below for the complete details!

  • Potatoes: Choose starchy potatoes like Russet or Yukon Gold. I keep the peel on.
  • Olive oil: Use extra-virgin olive oil or whatever you have on hand.
  • Seasoning: Flaky sea salt and black ground pepper.

How to Make Halloween Fries

  1. Prepare the fries: Slice the potatoes and shape the skulls. Submerge them in a bowl of cold water for 15 minutes. Drain and dry with paper towels.
  2. Bake: Brush the fries with olive oil on both sides and season well. Bake at 180℃ (356℉) for 35-40 minutes until crispy.
  3. Prepare the dip and serve.

Dip Tip

Place one tablespoon of ketchup into a piping bag or a piping tool to make the skull details in the dip.

  • Olive oil: Melted butter, avocado oil, or ghee.
  • Dip: Mayo, mustard, chimichurri, pesto.
  • Toppings: Cheese, hot sauce, ranch dressing, whipped feta, or garlic butter.
  • Seasoning: sprinkle chili flakes, chipotle, taco seasoning, paprika, cumin, or Italian seasoning.

Best served with

  • Any protein and veggies.
