Ingredients

  • 1 slice toast, sourdough
  • 125 grams burrata, 1 ball
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 vine tomato
  • fresh basil leaves, to garnish
  • 4 black olives
  • sea salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Heat a pan on medium-high heat.
  • Add the butter.
  • When the butter is golden and bubbly, top it with a slice of sourdough.
  • Fry until golden on both sides and allow to cool.
  • Halve the bread.
  • Top each half with sliced tomatoes.
  • Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and pepper.
  • Halve the burrata with a broad knife, holding the knife against the inside of the burrata so it doesn’t pour out.
  • Place a halved burrata on top of each toast half.
  • Press the top of the cheese gently, allowing the inside to spread out.
  • Halve olives for eyes.
  • Shape another half olive into the nose, and three strips of olive for the mouth.
  • Top the olive details onto the toast halves.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt.
  • Top with fresh basil.
  • Serve.
