This Snow Globe Burrata Platter is an adorable way to spread a little cheer. Upgrade this classic combination of creamy burrata, grape tomatoes, and fresh basil with a fun snow globe theme.

Enjoy this festive recipe at your next Christmas party (paired with my delicious focaccia). Or impress your family with a joyous side salad at dinnertime.
Feel free to swap burrata for fresh mozzarella, and if you are serving a crowd, up the quantities with an even larger platter or you can opt for individual servings.
Don’t miss my salad wreath, snowman mozzarella platter, or angel cheese board for other shareable platters this Christmas.

Snow Globe Burrata Platter
Ingredients
- 2 burrata, cheese
 - 150 grams bocconcini, mozzarella balls
 - 300 grams grape tomatoes, halved
 - 1 small cucumber
 - 1 small carrot
 - 9 fresh basil leaves
 - 1 teaspoon chia seeds
 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
 - 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
 - sea salt, to taste
 - pepper, to taste

Instructions
- Drain the burrata carefully on a piece of kitchen roll (paper towel).
 - Place the drained burrata in the middle of a platter (my platter was approximately 20cm/8 inches).
 - Cut a 3 cm (1 inch) piece of cucumber.
 - Peel and halve the cucumber lengthwise.
 - Halve one of the halves again and arrange the slices underneath the cheese to make the snow globe bases.
 - Cut a small square of cucumber to make a tree trunk and shape three triangles out of cucumber peel. Repeat for a second tree.
 - Place the tree details on top of a burrata to make the Christmas tree snow globe.
 - Halve two bocconcini and trim the back so they can lay flat. Repeat for the second snowman.
 - Place the bocconcini snowmen side by side on the second burrata.
 - Top with chia seeds for eyes, mouth, and buttons.
 - Use cucumber peel to make a scarf and trim a small triangle out of carrot for the nose.
 - Arrange the halved grape tomatoes cut side down on the platter.
 - Scatter with bocconcini to resemble snow.
 - Fill any gaps with fresh basil leaves.
 - When ready to serve, drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze on the salad.
 - Season with sea salt and pepper.
