Try these Kiwi Frogs With Chocolate for a sweet treat that’s almost too cute to eat. They will surely be a hit with the kids in your life (and the adults, too).

This fun recipe requires only a few ingredients and is the perfect healthy snack for Halloween, St Patrick’s Day, themed birthday parties, or any day of the week.

You can make these chocolate frogs ahead of time and keep them in the fridge until you are ready to serve them.

If you don’t have candy eyes, use mini marshmallows and a dollop of melted dark chocolate for pupils.

Kiwi Frogs With Chocolate

Ingredients 

  • 100 grams dark chocolate, 3.5 oz
  • 3 kiwis
  • 14 candy eyes
  • parchment paper
  • piping utensil / bag
  • peeler

Instructions 

  • Peel the kiwi.
  • Cut the ends of the kiwi.
  • Slice the fruit into 2 or 3 pieces, each about 1 cm thick slices (0.4 inch).
  • Dry the kiwi slices on a piece of kitchen towel. This will make the chocolate stick better.
  • Melt the dark chocolate.
  • Place the melted chocolate in a piping utensil or bag.
  • Pipe a circle and two dots along the circle for the eyes.
  • Now, pipe the legs and feet.
  • Place two candy eyes on top of the dots and a kiwi slice on top of the circle.
  • Allow to set.
  • Serve.
