Who doesn’t love sausage rolls? Give this classic savory snack a Halloween makeover with these Mummy Sausage Rolls!

This easy snack is sure to be a favorite among kids and adults, and they’re a great snack to serve at any Halloween party. You might want to make a double batch because they’ll disappear so quickly.

To make them, cut the pizza dough (or ready-rolled puff pastry) into thin strips, then wrap them around the sausages to look like mummies. Bake in the oven until golden, and decorate them with edible eyes, ketchup (blood), and flaked almonds (teeth).

Get the party started with these pizza dough sausage rolls shaped into mummies with ketchup and candy eyes.

Ingredients 

  • 280 grams pizza dough, storebought
  • 8 sausages
  • 30 candy eyes
  • 5 tablespoons ketchup

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 200ºC (400ºF).
  • Roll out the pizza dough.
  • Trim the dough into 18 equal-sized rectangles. Cut the pieces only slightly wider than the width of the sausages.
  • Halve the sausages and place one half on each rectangle. Fold the dough over the sausage at the top and the bottom.
  • You’ll need at least 2 rectangles of pizza dough to trim into strips to wrap around each of the mummies.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly browned.
  • Add the candy eyes and the ketchup details when the mummies have cooled down slightly.
