How sweet is this not-so-scary Vampire Caprese Platter with mozzarella balls and cherry tomatoes? This easy recipe is a fun take on a caprese salad and perfect for a Halloween party!

Serve with fresh basil leaves (tuck some into the vampire's shirt) and toasted bread for a delicious appetizer or snack board everyone will love.

You can even place some cocktail sticks on the side and let your guests make their own Halloween caprese skewers to top with extra virgin olive oil, balsamic glaze and flaky sea salt.

If you want to make the vampire scary, turn his smile into a frown and make cucumber peel eyebrows slant upwards, and you've got a terrifying sight!

You can prepare this Halloween board a few hours ahead of time and keep them covered in the fridge.

Ingredients

Instructions

1. Place the 2 slices of ham overlapping in the middle of a platter or chopping board.

2. Use bocconcini to make the hair.

3. Put the almonds in a small heat-proof bowl and pour boiling water over them for 3-4 minutes until the peel comes off easily.

4. Slice the cucumber peel to make the jacket trim.

5. Use the small round cutter to make the cucumber peel pupils and the metal straw to make the three green cucumber peel buttons.

6. Trim a long, thin slice of cucumber peel into a nose and mouth.

7. Slice the mozzarella and trim two rectangles for the collar.

8. Use the medium cookie cutter to make the round shirt details and the eyes.

9. Assemble the vampire (it may help to halve the tomatoes so they don't roll around).

10. Serve.
