Your friends and family will be thrilled with this colorful and delicious Spooky Salad featuring tomato slices, cucumber skulls, and mozzarella cheese ghosts! It’s sure to be a showstopper, whether you are planning a family dinner or throwing a party.

Shape the mozzarella slices with a ghost cookie cutter and a mini melon baller. Trim the cucumber skulls by hand and assemble them on top of the tomato slices.
Season the salad with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and use balsamic glaze to decorate the ghosts.

Spooky Salad
Ingredients
- 4 vine tomatoes
- 1 cucumber
- 2 fresh mozzarella balls
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
- sea salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cut the tomato and arrange on a platter. Top with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
- Slice the mozzarella and use the mini melon baller to cut out eyes and a mouth.
- Trim the wavy bottom of the ghosts. I used a cookie cutter, but you can also zig-zag this part with a knife.
- Slice the cucumber.
- Make a symmetrical indent for the jaw.
- Use the metal straw to shape the holes for the eyes.
- To shape the teeth, cut two small v-shapes in the jaw.
- Make a few turns with a toothpick or lolly stick to make the nose.
- Top the tomatoes with the mozzarella ghosts and cucumber skulls.
- Fill the ghosts’ scooped eyes and mouths with balsamic glaze.
- Drizzle the salad with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and pepper.
- Serve.
