The colors of the classic caprese are perfect for your Christmas parties, especially when it's made into the shape of a stocking.
Enjoy this board as a fun side salad, or serve it with crusty bread so your guests can make their own delicious appetizers.
Ingredients
- 4 fresh mozzarella balls
- 6 tomatoes
- fresh basil leaves
- 1 baguette
- sea salt
- pepper
Instructions
Serves 8-12 people.
1. Slice the tomatoes.
2. Arrange them in a stocking shape on a big platter or chopping board.
3. Now, slice the mozzarella and place these above the tomatoes.
4. Stick the basil leaves between the mozzarella and the tomatoes.
5. Sprinkle with sea salt (plus olive oil and balsamic glaze if you like).
6. Serve with slices of baguette.
