A simple Caprese salad platter is the perfect recipe for Easter entertaining, whether you’re celebrating low-key or have big plans with friends and family.

Whatever the occasion, everyone will love this adorable, festive take on a classic, featuring ripe cherry tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, and creamy mozzarella arranged to look like the Easter Bunny. It’s almost too cute to eat.

Bunny Caprese Platter
Ingredients
- 3 mozzarella balls
- 1 slice ham
- 300 grams cherry tomatoes, mixed colors
- 9 fresh basil, leaves
- 1 kalamata olive
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
- sea salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Slice the mozzarella cheese.
- Cut out two mozzarella ears with the medium petal cutter.
- Shape the remaining slices into round discs with the medium round cutter.
- Cut out the pink ham belly with the round cutter.
- Make the inside of the ears using ham and the small petal cutter.
- Arrange all the mozzarella discs onto a platter (you will need 8 for the body and 6 for the face).
- Top with the ham details.
- Halve a kalamata olive and shape the eyes with a metal straw.
- Trim the back of the olive eyes so they are flat.
- Shape the nose and nostrils and add to the bunny.
- Scatter fresh basil leaves underneath the bunny.
- Arrange the cherry tomatoes (I used red, orange, and yellow).
- Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
- Serve.
