Cut four petals along the outside perimeter of the strawberry. Make sure to take your cut a bit further into the underside of the berry.

Now cut four smaller petals between the previous ones, still cutting in at a slight slant.

Finally, cut a v-shape in the top middle section.

Fan out the petals carefully.
