Strawberry Ladybugs with Oreos

Ingredients

  • 5 strawberries pointy shaped
  • 100 grams dark chocolate 3.5 oz
  • 20 mini candy eyes
  • 10 Oreo cookies
  • 10 fresh basil leaves
  • parchment paper
  • piping utensil / bag

Instructions

  • Melt the dark chocolate.
  • Place the chocolate in a bowl.
  • Halve the strawberries.
  • Dry the strawberries on a piece of kitchen towel. This will allow the chocolate to stick better.
  • Dip the tip of each strawberry into the chocolate. Tap off any excess.
  • Place the strawberries on parchment paper and top with candy eyes.
  • Transfer the melted chocolate to a piping utensil or piping bag.
  • Pipe the ladybug center line and the 6 small dots with the melted chocolate.
  • Allow to set in the freezer for 5 minutes.
  • In the meantime, pipe chocolate onto the top of each Oreo.
  • Top with a fresh basil or mint leaf and then the chocolate-covered ladybugs.
  • Allow to set.
  • Serve.
