Strawberry Ladybugs with Oreos

strawberries

dark chocolate

Oreo cookies

fresh basil leaves
parchment paper
piping utensil / bag
Instructions
Melt the dark chocolate.
Place the chocolate in a bowl.
Halve the strawberries.
Dry the strawberries on a piece of kitchen towel. This will allow the chocolate to stick better.
Dip the tip of each strawberry into the chocolate. Tap off any excess.
Place the strawberries on parchment paper and top with
candy eyes
.
Transfer the melted chocolate to a
piping utensil
or piping bag.
Pipe the ladybug center line and the 6 small dots with the melted chocolate.
Allow to set in the freezer for 5 minutes.
In the meantime, pipe chocolate onto the top of each Oreo.
Top with a fresh basil or mint leaf and then the chocolate-covered ladybugs.
Allow to set.
Serve.
