Strawberries and Cream

Delightfully sweet strawberry balls and compote topped with milk and cream.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams strawberries
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • fresh mint to garnish

Strawberry compote

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  • Use the melon baller to cut out the strawberries. Set aside the berry balls.
  • Remove the leaves, then place the leftover bits of berries in a small pot over medium-high heat.
  • Add a tablespoon of maple syrup or to taste.
  • Bring the berries to a soft boil until they have broken down into a compote.
  • Let the compote cool completely.
  • Divide the sweet compote into two bowls.
  • Top with the strawberry balls.
  • Add milk and heavy cream.
  • Garnish with fresh mint.
  • Serve.
